| To the Members of ETTPA: Br-r-r-r-r, I’ve team penned during cold weather, but this show will be frozen in my mind, and feet, for a long time. The coffee and hot chocolate was flowing freely. Everyone’s mind-set seemed to be, “Yeah, it’s cold but we’re here to have a good time.” And we did. The show on January 30 was a good start for the 2010 season. Contestants drove in from Louisiana, Oklahoma, Dallas, Houston, Waco and all over East Texas. There were 66 members who made up 267 teams. We paid out almost $7000 in winnings. The directors and I would like to thank everyone for stepping up to help set up the sorting pens, and for opening gates. This helped moved the show along. We would also like to thank the Open riders who ride with the youth. I want to remind everyone that the Board has decided to award a set of custom spurs to the member who raises the most money in sponsorships. For more information contact me or Brett Hensley. The contest will continue until June 5. If you like to Team Pen and Ranch Sort, or would like to learn an exciting new sport come ride with us at ETTPA. We’ll be having fun no matter what the weather conditions. We will have the points posted in the next day or so. See you on March 13. Rick Hudman |
